so, we got tattoos

Yup, we got tattoos this week.

It was Cierra's first time getting a tattoo and she only planned on getting one but left with two and Mike got his 13th and 14th.

We each got one tattoo that represents ourselves individually and our second tattoos are a little similar...

Mike's first tattoo is a beautiful camera with a globe in the lens to represent his love for photography, travel and exploration. Mike purchased his first camera almost a year ago and hasn't put it down since. He is inspired every day to create and is now even making videos.

Cierra's first tattoo is the saying 'Keep being real' which represents everything she values and signifies her personal brand to empower people to keep being real on and offline. This tattoo will remind her every day of her purpose and what 'real' is all about.

And for our second tattoo, we have a bit of a story to share.

The first day we met, Mike got hungry so he pulled out a carrot from his backpack, peeled it and begun to eat it. Do you know how some people say they connected over coffee? Well, we connected over carrots.

Mike explained that he always travels with a bag of carrots and a peeler.

Cierra thought this was the cutest thing ever.

Cierra has been a vegetarian for over 7 years and has always wanted a bunch of carrots tattoo to remind her of making the switch to a plant-based diet but never had the guts to get it.

One night we were talking about tattoos, and Cierra mentioned that she wanted her first tattoo to be a bunch of carrots and Mike loved the idea so before we knew it, we decided that we would get matching tattoos to signify healthy living, our deep-rooted connection and our love for carrots of course.

We booked an appointment with Eilidh at HFX Tattoo's and a month later, here we are with matching carrot tattoos. Sure matching tattoos this early in-game could be crazy to some, but honestly, no matter what happens in the future we will always be connected and have a love for one another that is indescribable. We are willing to take the risk on something permanent.

Peace, love and carrots,

Cierra and Mike
