Empire Coffee has been our OG spot for mochas and gluten-free baked goods for a couple of years now. Located in the heart of Nelson, BC, Empire Coffee has been serving delicious Stumptown Coffee and baked goods since 2015.
Before we moved to Nelson in September 2020, we visited the area in the summer and fell in love with the Kootenay Lake, beaches and Empire Coffee.
Then a couple of days later, we were cruising through Kijiji and found the perfect home so we packed up our things from Kelowna and made the move to the Kootenays.
Now that we've been here for over 2 years, we've tried a few more cafes and it's too hard to say who is our official favourite BUT Empire does make a top-notch mocha and bakes so many yummy treats 🤤
Take your coffee to go, stroll the streets and visit the local Nelson shops or stay in and relax in one of their many seating areas.
Empire is open from 6 AM - 6 PM and offers breakfast & lunch sandwiches, teas, coffee and treats. They also have some cute mugs and coffee merchandise.
They have a few seating areas and the atrium is our favourite spot in the summer.
We highly recommend you add this cafe to your list.
