Red's Bakery, Crawford Bay, BC

Red’s Bakery is located in Crawford Bay, 10 minutes from the Kootenay Lake Ferry, on the property of Kokanee Chalets.

With so many baked goods options to choose from, fresh bread made daily and sandwiches galore, this bakery is a must-visit.

The moment you walk in, you're hit with the aromas of fresh baked bread and notes of sugar and cinnamon, they could make a candle called Red's Bakery.

This sweet spot is open seasonally with limited hours during the winter. We visited in November and they were only open on the weekend until 3 PM so double-check before you go.

With so many delicious goodies to try, it was hard to choose what to get. Cierra ended up ordering a cinnamon bun with cream cheese frosting, a mocha and a rice krispie square to have later in the day. Mike tried a chai latte and really enjoyed it.

The cinnamon bun was exceptional and even though it wasn't gluten-free, Cierra said it was one of the best cinnamon buns she's ever had.

We also appreciated that even though it's a takeout-only location, they had lots of seating outside to enjoy your coffee and baked goods.

So add this cute little place to your list next time you visit Crawford Bay, you won't be disappointed 😁
